  1. BACKUP   - Backs up files from a fixed disk to diskettes
  2. CHDIR    - Changes/Shows the current directory
  3. CHKDSK   - Reports the status of disk and memory

  5. COMP     - Compares two sets of files
  6. COPY     - Copies one or more files
  7. D-COLON  - Entering  d: (d=drive letter) changes the default drive
  8. DATE     - Displays/Changes the system date
  9. DEL      - Removes files from disk (see ERASE)
  10. DIR      - Lists files in a disk's directory
  11. DISKCOMP - Compares the entire contents of two diskettes
  12. DISKCOPY - Copies one diskette's entire contents to another diskette
  13. ERASE    - Removes files from disk
  14. FIND     - Finds specified character strings in files or other data
  15. FORMAT   - Prepares a new diskette for use
  16. GRAPHICS - Prints a graphics screen display
  17. MKDIR    - Makes a new subdirectory
  18. MORE     - Halts display scrolling when the screen is full
  19. PATH     - Sets directories to be searched for commands and batch files
  20. PRINT    - Prints files
  21. PROMPT   - Sets the system prompt
  22. RECOVER  - Recovers disk files that have bad sectors
  23. RENAME   - Renames existing files
  24. RESTORE  - Restores files that were backed up with the BACKUP command

  26. SORT     - Sorts a file or other data
  27. SYS      - Transfers DOS to a disk
  28. TIME     - Displays/Changes the system time
  29. TREE     - Displays a disk's "tree" of directories
  30. TYPE     - Displays the contents of a file
  31. VER      - Displays the DOS version number
  32. VERIFY   - Verifies that data is written correctly to disk
